The Beethoven Fest New York City was created in 2020 for the celebration of Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th birthday anniversary in New York City.
With the onset and the progress of the COVID-19 pandemic, the very first edition of the festival, in December 2020, resulted in an only virtual, much reduced version of its original design.
As the world is now moving back into a "new normal", and with artists and orchestras returning to the stage, the second edition of the Beethoven Fest New York City will finally present its orchestra and events live and in person in June 2022.
Beethoven Fest New York City is aiming to create a place in which audiences and artists come together to celebrate the "forever modern" message Beethoven has handed us in his music.
As we attempt to heal together and face the challenges of our present times, Beethoven remains one of the greatest guides of our Civilization, reminding us of the greatness humanity can achieve, both on the individual and the collective level.
